Poison Effects

The underground was silent, nobody roamed the halls. Kailon was asleep, her head buried in a pile of pillows and her arms. Each room inside the underground had at least one extra exit in case of emergency, a slight breeze from the door in Kailon’s room woke her. Her stubbornness made her turn and try to find a pillow to cover her face with, instead of a pillow she was greeted by a groan. Familiar arms wrapped around her and a head was against hers, her eyes opened and scanned the face in front of her. Eyes opened on the other side and the glossy black irises struck her, Vexx, what the hell was he even doing in there? Trying to move away she found her leg was bandaged and any slight movements with it sent a jolt of pain through her body, Vexx was still looking at her in wonder. Her eyes snapped back to his instead of looking for a way out they asked for an explanation to everything, his eyes were blank as though he had no recollection either.
”Mind filling me in?” Kailon was speaking softly because even without seeing daylight she knew it was early morning.
”Can’t, sorry. If I knew then I’d tell you,” Vexx was using the same tone as her.
Kailon looked around then back to him, ”How bad was my leg?”
”Torn tendons but you healed quickly, your vampirisim helped a lot though.”
His arm rested on her hip, never moving lower, ”You happy with your hand there?”
”Not yet,” His other hand slid behind her and brought her closer, Kailon tried to pull away, ”What? What have I done wrong?”
”Just let me go,” Vexx’s eyes searched hers, pulling away again Vexx let her go, ”Thanks.”
”Tell me what I did wrong.”
”Nothing, Vexx, you did nothing wrong it’s just that I… don’t worry about it,” Kailon sat up, her leg sending a jolt of pain through her.
She put her hands to her leg and pushed against it, her minded screaming in pain and caused her to double over then scream silently. Vexx instantly sat up and grabbed her head, she was gasping for air. Sometimes Vexx and Kailon forgot that the former alpha female had poisonous fangs, Kailon’s leg still wasn’t healed properly. Turning her head she looked at him, her eyes were telling him she’s in pain. Hearing a knock at the door made Kailon get up and fall over in pain. The door swung open, Cassandra came in and grabbed Kailon.
