Premonitions
by Dealing with dreams which come true.
Since I was a young girl I have had dreams which would come true. They started with little things such as deja vu. I would go to a place I had never been and it would be familiar. There would be omens and signs in my regular dreams. I would see bits and pieces of events like a jigsaw puzzle little by little until I knew exactly what would happen to whom. Time had no real meaning I could see them several years before they would occur. As I got older my premonitions increased to knowing when major events like death occur and to whom it would happen. Especially accidents. I know it is very easy to say “I knew that was going to happen,” after events happen, however, there were times I would try to tell people before. Most of the time I was not believed. I can understand that. People do not want to believe bad things happen to them. I learned to keep things like that to myself. Dealing with the burden of knowing things are going to happen is not a fun emotion. There is usually a physical toll after the occurrence had come to fruition. Over time the premonitions would occur when I was awake, not just sleeping. That was very scary, it was not like on television like I was
watching on a screen I would see a person or event which would have an unususal glow around it.
I would get flashes of images. I knew something was going to happen to someone or Someone I knew was going to be involved in certain events. The fact that I had premonitions made me nervous about friendships I was afraid to get close to people because I was afraid I would jinx them. My premonitions only have to do with people I know well. Sometimes if I had them regarding people I did not know I would see a person I did know. I was also afraid people would find out I had them, expecting skepticism, or laughter I would go for years without having any to having several in the matter of a few months. I have always wondered what is the purpose of being able to see bad things happening to people if you can’t do anything to stop them or keep from of dealing with the issues anyway.

Sometimes I have such strong premonitions that it scares me.
Its usually like a little voice saying something inside my head.
My premonitions always come true.
And they can not be controled.
Another words, I’ve tried to think of things and make them happen..but..that doesn’t work..because I am simply ‘thinking them up’ on my own.. using my imagination.
But..
when I hear these warnings..usually when I am not thinking about anything related to them..that’s when they come true.
For instance..
My family and I were driving down the highway one day and a truck with a boat hitched to the back of this vehicle past us by.
Suddenly I just ‘knew’ that this boat would break free from the truck.
It was a very strong.. overwhelming feeling. So I told my father to slow down and make sure to stay away from that driver.
Sure enough..
several miles down the road the boat did come unhitched from the truck and nearly caused an accident.
When I get these feelings they can never be denied..because they come on so strong.
The strange thing is..these premonitions are never about good things that will happen..only bad occurences.

i also see things or know things befor they happen. i could get a phone call and befor i even answer it i know what they are calling me for. I have da ja vu all the time. the latest image i have that has been frequenting my mind for a couple months now is car wreck that involves me i dont ever see how i wreck or what causes it but im in my vehicle upside down staring at sand bags from a self made dam in someone yard. i drive by the crash sight 5 days a week on my way to and from work. My mom beggs me to take a different route but i cant bring myself to do it. i guess what it comes down to is i want to know if what im seeing is true, even if it is my death. danica lafayette indiana

I see things to. started when i was around 6 or 7. freaked me out when i was around 13 when i started realizing wat was happening. i tried to make them stop but could never do it. They started out as little things like if i triped and cut my knees or something then it would happen a week or so latter. Now there more drastic and intense.
Example: i had a horrible dream of my friend getting jumped and really getting hurt and a week latter hes in the hospital cuz 3 guys jumped him for some cash.
the worst part is i cant warn people cuz half the time there to foggy and by the time i figure them out it happens like 2 days latter. Antonio Toronto Canada

i have been getting premonitions since the age of 5 or 6. my mom and i both get theses premonitions, i usually have dreams, that come true. i thank god for one.
last year on august 25, 2007. it was my 14th birthday, and i got a supprise party. we were up at the lake, and i had been getting the same dream for about 2 weeks, in my dream, we were driving home from my party, and my car and everybody in the car were supposed to get in a 3 car pile up. i thank god every day that my mom and i get these dreams. because if it werent for that premonition, i would have died on my birthday. i got home, and turned on the news the next day, and on the road that i was supposed to get in that 3 car pile up, sure enough there was one…
i dont really get scared of these dreams, or deja vu. because if i notice them in time, i can change the scene.

I enjoyed reading about these.. i feel less insane.. im not exactly sure when my premonitions started.. i think when iwas younger i saw stuff more than i saw stuff happening… whether those were people i will meet in the future or possibly something from the past i suppose i will never know.. i can’t remember what i did but i made them stop.. for a long time.. but then i had a dream my grandmother was going to die.. and i told my family.. they got so mad that i mentioned something like that and told me not to think like that … sure enough.. a day before she died.. (I was in the foster home when this happened) 5th grade.. i was about 11 … a day before she asked to speak to me because i was having a visit with my “intermediate” family..she didnt’ ask to speak with anyone else but me.. and that it was important what she had to disguss.. but the dcf denied her wish since she was not the inner family..next morning she dies.. it was horrifying i was last to know.. later that evening.. i was soo mad when i found out she wanted to talk to me.. because i wonder all the time.. if it was going to be good or bad.. since it was her son that i was in the foster home for.. i really miss her so much and i wish i could talk to her again just to ask what she had wanted to say.. but also i had a dream that my other grandmother was going to die just 2 years ago and after that another relative that i cared so deeply for was my great uncle victor.. even the doctors said he was getting better but iknew.. and all i had to do was tell my daddy.. “I had THE dream” and he goes.. no.. we’re going to loose him.. and i said yes, may we please go visit him.. we did once and i wanted to again but we had school stuff .. it was soo sad.. also..another time i had a bad bad feeling my adopted mother just this year.. was getting worse and something was wrong… but i never really had a dream right before it happened.. tho i had dreams she would die YEARS ago.. i just thought it was one of those silly night mares you know? So im not sure whether i really have premonitions or whether its a coincidence.. or if its just for ppl i know .. but then again i never met beth englert.. and i just had that same STRONG feeling i just wanted to shout at the bus driver to let me out because i had to be by that tree to save someone from a fire.. and beth got in a car wreck later that morning from crashing into that tree and it burst into flames.. i never met her.. but my cousin jeff was going to ask her to marry him that friday.. its just weird. I really want to have my preminitions more.. i wish they didnt’ stop.. i feel i could help the few that would listen.. but also.. i just like that feeling.. of knowing.. i am so curious. I want to learn to read minds better.. i do it on accident i can’t control it.. and it bugs me … i know what soem peopple are thinking when im just pretending to be psychic but it then becomes a reality when i least expect it.. can anyone help me
is there really any way to control it?

now ive read these ive realised idont need to feel like.. wierd about them?
i know its strange and i didnt even know what they were until i told my boyfriend and made him swear not to tell anyone then he helped me find out what it was.
ever since i was little id have like little visions or w.e there called were id see a flash image for expample id see my cousin fall off a swing then about 3-5 days later i seen her and it happend.
i cant go into great detail on what i see.
cause it scares me. far too much but is there actually anyway on controling it?

I have had several dreams that were very vivid. Some involving me and some involving people I have never met and places that I have never been. I have always had premonitions about my own life, but not really far ahead in the future. I have never had any of my dreams come true, but I do not know how old I am in these dreams they might yet happen later in life. The only reason that I say this is because I have short “visions” or daydreams like I like to call them they usually come after a really bad gut feeling about something that is going to happen in the near future meaning that day. Maybe a little over a month ago I was on my way home when I was getting ready to pass a minivan that was going 45 in a 65 and I had a vision of me hitting head on with a motorcycle. The vision was incredibly vivid and it was like a picture of the black bike coming around the road in my head. A few moments later a black motorcycle came around a blind corner, he wasn’t wearing a helmet. If I would have passed that minivan I would have killed that man instantly. I have these daydreams all the time mostly just little things like when something is about to break or fall off of a shelf or other things that noone else sees coming. I had a dream yesterday about a waitress named Catherine. I am not sure where I am at in the dream, but I know it was a restaurant because if her maroon shirt and her apron on her waist. She is a blonde woman with a southern accent and she did the normal restaurant greeting and I asked her what her name was and that was it, the dream stops there. I don’t know what to think of all this but I always listen to any kind of premonition that I get.
