Spaceships in Society

Spaceships come in various shapes according to viewers. One reported to have been spotted near Ostia outside of Rome looked like they had a bubble dome although they also looked like puffs of cloud. They have been reported to be cigar shaped and on a local night radio show in the US, taking the shape of a giant floating skyscrapers. What do humans need in order to satisfy their unconscious urge to be faced with the unknown? I say this because as time moves on the amount of sightings seems to have intensified but so has our imagination. In the end not one spaceship has landed to take us away or as in Independence Day come and destroy what they will.

Enemy spacecraft invasions goes back to HG Wells and his book on War of the Worlds. There are too many people who think that it could have very well started with Speilberg’s ET but no matter, mankind has been fascinated by alien aircraft before either author and there probably were more testimonials about alien abductions, appearances of green men and their flights over midnight skies for centuries. In fact testimonials of sightings go back to the 1700s in Wales and in Nebraska in the late 1800s.

All this could just be what these beings have wanted to do because life does not necessarily have to be interpreted by biblical stories alone if at all entirely or even partially. Life could have had a connection with visitations from another planet or planets that were way ahead of where we were as apes and up sprang civilizations for which we do not know any beginning or are able to account for their end.

There is no clear indication of how the Egyptian civilization came to be before it actually took hold of the famed Nile region. Similarly know one knows how the mysterious Etruscan people vanished from the Italian peninsula.And what about Atlantis if that existed?

Naturally this is just an effort to come to terms with all these sitings and no release from the continued apprehension among UFO worshippers some of whom will relate their presence to a previous colonization. Others may relate their presence as a kind of control over their human progeny. That we are actually nothing more than an ongoing experiment made to feel that we are all seeing and all understanding when in reality we are little more then clay in the hands of those superior beings, that we are and will be forever molded by their will.

This all sounds like something out of Twilight Zone or Outer Limits, programs which also hinted on the presence of aliens around us. Agnes Moorehead played a besieged country woman who could never have fathomed the landing of aliens on her homestead roof. She acted out of fear and perhaps that is what kept those aliens persistent. People act strangely when in fear. In another episode a similar looking space ship landed and there appeared to have been a giant on board but that giant turned out to be a huge balloon and the craft was actually a miniature one, housing aliens who were all too fearful of us. So fear can work either way and aliens may still be wanting to escape from under our noses. This is all of course dependent on how real those episodes were.
