The Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle, also called as “Devil’s Triangle” is still a mystery of this world, which is yet not completely clarified by any science and technologies. Though there are myths and facts explained and associated with it, nothing is clear and precise yet. It is an imaginary area, which can be marked as connecting the Florida, Puerto Rico and Bahamas, to form a triangle shape. It lies in the Atlantic Ocean.

The mystery is unrevealed yet because, the most of the boats and planes which crossed this area were disappeared and also the directional devices never work in this area. So no one is daring to go and do the research.

As per the researchers, the first record about this Bermuda Triangle was done by Christopher Columbus (1451-1506). In his log he mentioned that their compass didn’t work properly and they got confused.

In March 1918, when the World War I was happening, the USS Cyclops vanished in this so called area. Later in December 1945, a training flight of US Navy called Flight 19 with 14 crewmen got disappeared in this same suspicious area. The flight which was sent in search of Flight 19 also got disappeared in the same notorious way. The disappearance of these two flights made the popularity of “Triangular Bermuda” to increase and the fear of sailors and pilots too.

There were few famous ships that got disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle. The Mary Celeste (1872) which started its sail from New York to Genoa (Italy) was found sailing without any one at some 400 miles off the coast of Africa. Though it was believed it might have encountered a storm, nothing could be proved and no log found in the log book, which was found in the ship. There is no evidence whether the Mary Celeste entered into the Bermuda Triangle, but still associated with that.

Though there are lots of Myths going around this Bermuda Triangle like aliens attack, devils palace, suspicious creatures, etc… Science tried to explain it in its own way.

Scientists of Physics department say it as the power of “Magnetic Field”. They explain it as due to the excess magnetic force in that area, ships and planes are pulled inside and disappeared. The Chemistry department says it as some gas component creates an unusual chemical combination, which creates the disaster to the vessels. And the ocean studies say that some formation of soil and plants under water in this area is the reason behind all disappearances.

For me, whether it is something under the control of science or some supernatural forces or some extra terrestrial beings, this is one mystery to prove “Man cannot defeat and conquer Nature”. GOD is the super power and we are still under his control.
