There are quite a few of them out there made of strange materials to make them more realistic and made with a very skeletal-like frame. Paper mache is another possibility. It looks like the neck is made of strips, and you can see a wire loop through the center of it.. Yea.. paper mache sounds like the most plausible explanation when I really look at it. That is.. It looks awful! Even though you expect things to deteriorate over time you don't expect it to be so dramatic! That's a drastic change. I would have expected the plastic to break into bits and pieces. Maybe this doll was more expensive! and made of a different plastic material.... I wonder how many other people have dolls that look like this.
