The Pascagoula Alien Abduction
The following is one of the best documented alien abduction stories of all time with at least 15 witnesses.
While fishing on the evening of October 10, 1973, Calvin Parker and Charles Hickson heard a slight buzzing sound. This was the beginning of an alien abduction that was witnessed by at least 15 people near New Orleans. The witnesses included two policemen and a navy petty officer. Fishermen Parker and Hickson saw an egg shaped officer with bluish lighting.
A door opened on the craft. Three beings of unknown origin floated out of the unidentified flying object toward Parker and Hickson. The beings floated Hickson into the waiting ship to a bright room and examined him for about 2o minutes before floating him back to the river. Parker and Hickson talked about what they should do next.
They decided to report the incident to the local sheriff. The sheriff thought the story was a trick or a hoax. Hickson and Parker decided to remain quiet about the sighting but coworkers overheard them talking about the incident. Soon details of the alleged abduction leaked out to the public. Reporters swarmed the town within days. Famed UFO researcher Dr. J. Allen Hynek investigated and proclaimed,”…there was definitely something here that was not terrestrial.”
Hickson took a polygraph test. The examiner decided that Hickson believed his UFO experience was real. Sheriff Fred Diamond thought the two men appeared to be sincerely frightened and that Parker was particularly disturbed. Unknown to Hickson and Parker, Diamond left his recorder on when he left his office. The two men continued to talk to each other like they were very stressed out.
The story had a few holes in it. For one thing, the young polygraph operater was inexperienced and fresh and just out of school. For another, the UFO landing sighting was in view of two 24-hour toll booths and neither operator saw anything.
However, Hynek thought the sighting was credible. Hickson passed his polygraph test The two men were genuinely afraid especially when the sheriff left his office. There was a large number of witnesses. So, I beleive there was at least an 80% chance that the sighting actually took place.
