The Sounds in That Lonely House at Night Could Mean Only That
by It is about a haunted house that had been built by a rich family from Singapore. They wanted to reside permanently in India but unfortunately after the house had been completed, the family were killed in a terrible accident. soon after for years the house had not been occupied by any others because ghostly apparitions roamed the place.
Since I was one among the relatives, I decided to see for myself the truth of the sayings of the people about the house. But I was shocked to realise that the ghost stories were after all true and I left the place immediately after that.
The sounds in that Lonely House at night could mean only that.
It was a haunted house. The people of that area were aware of sinister frightful sounds inside that house at midnight. No one dared to inspect what was really happening in that weird house.
The house was of immense size with lots of rooms specially built for the convenience of a family who were residing abroad at Singapore. They had built that house as they wanted to return to India permanently and live there comfortably. But a terrible accident smashed their hopes and all were killed instantly at the spot.
It has been supposed that the departed souls of this family were hovering aimlessly in this house. Much has been said by the people around that the house has been haunted in the stillness of midnight for a long time. No one dared to occupy or buy that house for fear something dreadful may happen to them. The house had not been repainted or cleaned for years. It remained locked in that condition. Nobody intervened or enquired of the family who had expired so tragically.
None of the relatives wanted to have anything to do with the affairs of the house. They feared that something dreadful may happen to anyone of them if they tried to take over the house.
But some of their relatives who thought that this was an easy way to get rich by making an attempt to stay overnight were sadly mistaken and disappointed.
They could not outlast even an hour at midnight inside as the fearful apparitions seen, made them flee for their lives.
They knew that I was the only one among them who could do something to remove the terrorized moments prevailing inside the house. I had no fear of ghosts or the spirits which moved in the darkness. I used to scoff at the very idea of people panicking in fear of ghosts which according to me, do not exist but the wayward hallucinations revolving in the minds of people seized emotionally with fear of the Unknown.
I deliberately made an attempt to stay overnight at that place to see for myself the truth about the ghostly talks by the people. When I entered the house at night, everything was quite peaceful around the place but the house was in an untidy condition as it has not been used for years. Moreover I noticed that most of the furniture’s were thrown about as if the place has been ransacked recently.
I don’t know how long I had overslept, but suddenly I was awakened by something pulling at my throat. I awoke but found nothing there. The tightening around the throat had disappeared. Then I saw a figure of a girl with hair loosened eyeing me from a distance. I got a sudden shock and fright when I realized that I was fully awake. I tried to shout at the ghostly figure but it disappeared as it had come.
Then I noticed more phantom figures hurrying about the place which had a hallowing appearance about them. Now I realized that the people were right in their assumption that the place was truly haunted by spirits. It was truly amazing for me to believe about ghosts. There is something astonishing for me to suppose that supernatural events related by others were after all true as I was led to believe the truth of the supernatural after seeing it myself. So I left the place immediately as I did not want to interfere with unworldly beings which seem to wander about the place.
