The Yukon UFO Flap
This article discusses the rash of UFO sightings in Yukon, Canada, in 1996. These encounters were well-documented and well-researched.
The light came up from the riverbank and began following a mother and her three children at a distance from the other side of the river. They were driving toward Whitehorse, Yukon, when they noticed the light while crossing a bridge. The UFO followed them along the Klondike Highway until they got to the first houses along the road. At that time, the object went straight up and trailed them from above. Like most flying saucer sightings, the UFO made no sound.
There was also no definition to the light, which seemed to be deliberately following the family. Finally, the mother stopped the car, and she and her teenage daughter got out of the car to try to get a better view of the UFO. Suddenly, the object started moving toward them. The mother and daughter got back into the car and took off but did not loose the light until they got to Whitehorse.
This was only one of many UFO sightings in the Yukon Territory in 1996.
On December 11, 1996, two cousins were traveling in separate cars on the Klondike Highway from Whitehorse to Carmacks. They both saw a UFO hovering over the frozen waters of Fox Lake. Two other witnesses saw rows of lights moving across the lake and then came upon the two cousins who had pulled to the side of the road. The four men talked about the UFO and then drove on to Braeburn Lodge. There they met another witness who had seen the light over Fox Lake and had also observed a rectangular row of lights moving behind a hill.
Witnesses described the object as being of immense size, taking up a sixty to ninety degree chunk of sky. More witnesses reported seeing a large row of lights moving slowly. Nine additional witnesses observed the UFO near Carmacks, a village on the Yukon River along the Klondike Highway. This encounter is very credible because of the large number of witnesses (22).
The Fox Lake-Carmacks sighting may have encompassed a larger area because there were also encounters reported in Dawson, Mayo and Dawson Lake.
In summary, there was a major UFO “flap” in Canada’s Yukon Territory in 1996. A car containing a woman and her three daughters was chased by a strange light on the Klondike Highway, apparently deliberately. There was another major encounter on the same highway between Whitehorse and Carmacks. This UFO was described as “immense”. These sightings were never explained but, because of the large number of witnesses, they apparently really occurred.
The UFOs were obviously intelligently controlled but whether by humans or aliens is not known.
