Tiger Woods: The Accident, The Argument, and Why He’s a Pig

     Is Tiger Woods in the midst of a meltdown?  The signs aren’t good, sports fans.  Amidst the swirling allegations of an extra marital affair with married celebrity collector Rachel Uchitel…

     … We now find Woods, 33, the world’s top ranked professional golfer, running into fire hydrants.  According to reports, he was involved in an argument with his wife over his ‘fling’, pulled out of his driveway angrily and assaulted the defenseless hydrant. Lacerations to his face ensued, although the guy can afford a little fix up job. 

     It was only a matter of time; certain things in the American celebrity spotlight are universal…. the biggest of which seems to be that celebrities will eventually blow up in some way, shape or form.  It will be a bit more noticeable in the case of someone like Woods, who is famous nearly as much for his squeaky clean image as he is for being perhaps the best golfer in the history of the sport.

     No doubt we will have a press conference upcoming where he will humbly confess to his affair, wife by his side, and we will say ‘poor Tiger’.  He’ll go on his friend Oprah’s show, we’ll lament the price of fame with him (If he’s ready to trade that in, he can sign me up) and we’ll love him even more.

     And we wonder why our country is considered so morally reprehensible to the rest of the world.  If it is true, which in cases like this usually ends up being the case, then for a change, let’s not coddle the man.  I know it’s a lot of stress having a super model wife, all the money in the world, and being worshipped all across the globe.  I so feel his pain.  But a pig is a pig.  May your bimbo divorce you and milk you for every penny you have.
