The academy aims to promote and organize the scientific and historical study of ufology. Its goal is to become an intermediary between the public seeking information on serious and reliable and the ufologists who work in associations.
The Academy of Ufology just validarpara internal use, a classification system for the study of UFOs made by Dr. Jacques Vallee and Allen Hynek. This system is already known and used by many private associations of ufologists worldwide. The academy is currently working to define precisely the common use of the French word “ufologie.
In order to carefully advise readers of books of ufology, the academy decided to define a procedure for validation of those books. This will become a basic tool for the academy and will be a guarantee of seriousness to the public. The Academy of Ufology is also composed of members who are professionals but not UFO. Their specialties are those needed to understand the UFO phenomenon. The expertise required are numerous: physicists, astrophysicists, biologists, geologists, sociologists, computer specialist, researchers, historians, technicians, etc..
To achieve complete independence, the academy operates in line with the voluntary and without nenhumaremuneração or expense. Its members do not have any personal expenses. The only consideration for them is to offer the academy a part of their time and their knowledge. The agreement of the operation of the Academy of Ufology specifies that exchanges and discussions will be released in time, about several weeks, and will be done remotely, using modern tools of communication: telephone, internet etc.. You do not need the displacement of people. Dedicated software will allow a vote on a particular page of the academy.
