UFO Reports at Area 51 Debunked by Insiders
Five men who worked at Area 51 claim that only military development of new planes is going on there. Is this for real or is it government disinformation?
Five men who used to work at the top secret military installation called Area 51 have come forth to debunk some legends. One of the men, an engineer, said that he conducted his work in underground chambers, which is part of the legend. However, the men claim that most of the UFO sightings is attributable to a plane called the Oxcart. Supposedly, the Oxcart had a fuselage that made it look disc-like, and flew at speeds of over 2000 miles per hour.
Former Air Force Colonel Hugh Slater, one of the men who came forward, said that 2,850 test flights of the Oxcart were conducted in the 1960s. Slater also claimed that FBI agents would meet pilots of commercial flights who reported UFOs near Area 51. The agents would have the pilots sign nondisclosure forms.
In a recent online poll, 49% of those surveyed said they believed UFO sightings near Area 51 were military aircraft. Only 8% believed they were alien spacecraft but 34% said they were a mix of aircraft and spacecraft. 9% were not sure. When asked,”Do you think aliens have visited Earth?”, 59% said yes while 32% said no. 9% said they were undecided. Remember: online surveys are not scientific.
Many people question the existence of the Oxcart test plane. A man who spent fifteen years in the Air Force said he never heard of it while others say the Oxcart was the code name for the SR71 Blackbird that replaced the U2 spy plane. Others question the accuracy of the men who used to work at Area 51. They argue that since Area 51 is a high security zone, then anyone who worked there had to have signed a nondisclosure form. Thus, the men would not be able to say anything about it without facing prosecution.
There is much distrust of the government, which means that some people do not believe the official version of Area 51. Some think that the installation is a government tool for R&D and disinformation. A few people believe Area 51 is a testing ground and that the powers-that-be use the UFO phenomenon to cover up what goes on there. There is also a theory that reverse engineering at Area 51 has sped up the development of technology.
Personally, I think Area 51 is only being used to test military aircraft. However, many governments may be allowing aliens to abduct humans in exchange for technology. This would not only explain the government’s secrecy regarding UFOs but would also explain the dizzying speed at which technology is being developed. This “quickening” is almost overwhelming for some of us. Places like Area 51 may be where this technology is being tested.
