UFO’s Over Britain
Britain’s flying saucer wave of 2008 is discussed.
While visiting a park in Croydon in South London, a Russian tourist took a picture of an unidentified flying object. On June 7, 2008, a man captured a flying saucer on video tape in Clapham. The object was hovering above Bedfordshire. That same day, Corporal Mark Proctor said that he and other members of the Royal Army saw thirteen UFOs flying above their barracks.
These are only three examples of hundreds of flying saucer sightings in Britain in 2008 beginning in April. Most reports were made in June and July. Skeptics claim that what people are seeing are merely balloons, kites or Chinese lanterns. (Chinese lanterns are a fad in Britain these days.) Actually, only a few of the sightings have been confirmed as causing the UFO sightings.
After reportedly seeing triangular shaped objects near his home in Brinkhill, Louth, sixty-one year old Eric Goring said he was afraid of being abducted by aliens. Goring told the Louth Leader newspaper that he had been watching these UFOs for six weeks. On the evening of September 25, he saw eight of the objects. He scoffed at the idea that they were just Chinese lanterns.
Goring recounted his sightings to the Leader, saying that he saw the latest objects around six in the morning. He said they were fifty feet across, triangular in shape and lined with lights. Goring said,”I think they are here to study the planet.”
The sightings continued into 2009. On January 8, UFOs may have damaged a wind farm in Conisholme and a few nights later a similar object was seen over Cambridge. On the fourth, a man observed an orange glowing UFO that looked like it was on fire. The next day, a fossil hunter took a picture of an object that looked like nothing he had ever seen before. On January 12, the Telegraph and Argus newspapers released video footage that showed UFOs over Bradford.
Clearly, something strange is going on in the skies over Britain. I believe about 25% of these UFOs can be explained as misidentified objects like balloons and kites. The rest may be experimental military aircraft or space craft from another planet.
If you live in the United Kingdom and have seen a UFO in the past couple of years, please leave a comment.
