Unfinished Business
Unfinished business from the past lives continues into this life….
Reincarnation is a myth or fiction to many people. If you don’t believe in reincarnation, then it is just an illusion. The concept of reincarnation stands for the idea that each individual has had many lives before this one and there are many more to come. Therefore, each person should behave nicely so there will be no bad consequences in the next life. When I first heard about this concept, the idea just freaked me out. According to the theory, I have to live my life properly; otherwise, I have to pay back for my actions in my next life. A simple example would be if I had robbed the bank in my previous life, then I have to do many charity works in this life as a punishment.
If reincarnation exists then the injustice system does not work. For instance, when you see a homeless man on the street begging you for food and this man is in pain, you should not help him. The reason is this homeless person is getting what he deserves; he must had been a bad person in his previous life and he must pay his dues during this lifetime – even he does not remember what he has done in his previous life!
There was one real-life story that I have heard from my sister. A brother kept telling people he knows about his brilliant, older sister. His older sister has rejected most men that pursued her. She quoted, “I knew who will be my future husband, I have met him in my dreams repeatedly ever since I was a kid. I remember his face as crystal clear.” The sister later actually found the man in her dream that she has been looking for. He was a prison inmate. She told him everything. Not too long after this happened, the man got out of the prison, and later died of a car accident. Some said these two people had some type of spiritual bond that could make a contact with each other through their dreams. Others said she must have had some unfinished business with this man; and she had to return to this life to have a closure with him.
After death, where the soul goes? Do you think that everything would end at that point? I think this subject has been a mystery to all of us. If you believe in “fate and destiny” that I have talked about in my other article, you would think about how fate and destiny would somehow might possibly link to the “unfinished business” from a previous life; and in some mysterious way, the incomplete business would continue in this life. The act of believing about something does not make it true. The best we can do are to believe on the facts that we have found or based on the facts that we know. There constantly have been and will be many unanswered questions…

With regards to this portion of your writing….
By not helping the man in the street who is begging for food, are we not setting ourselves up to have to manage unfinished business in our next life? I am certain that we are all responsible for our own actions and even if the homeless man is paying a price for some action he committed in this or a previous life, it does not relinquish my obligation to do what is right and offer help. My actions and offering are between me and God, what the other person does with my offerings, is between him and God.
