Uri Geller- Psychic Spoon Bender or Trickster?

Uri Geller is undoubtedly one of the world’s most famous seers. Its main claim to fame is the bending of spoons using only his mind. Most of us have been doing this on television. But is it real?

No, it is not. Not so. It all parlor tricks. That was proven in a court of law and Mr. Geller has empty pockets to show for it.

But what makes us believe that a man like this? How did it to win many followers? How did he even fool a team of scientists at Stanford Research Institute, who delivered so gifted psychic Geller have invented a term to describe their skills, “Geller effect”? The bending a spoon or a key trick is done by bending the object beforehand. Then during the show, all in the angles, he said. At first, there are the object with the container or flat out and the curve was not visible to the public. Then he starts to rub and slowly revealing the curve, as if he’d just make it happen, when it had been there all the time. Sound easy? It is not. It took years of practice. Witnesses say he never had his eyes, but never saw it. Videotapes showed that distracts these people enough time to make adjustments as needed.

There were other tricks that seemed to mislead people ceaselessly even though the same kind of tricks sold at fairs. There was “seeing” a drawing in a sealed envelope by the holding in secret in the hands of light. Had copy numbers of plaques and models of vehicle in the parking lot of his shows and then surprise their owners with their car matching psychic abilities. , Asking the public to bring old, stopped watches and it would run. Many times, waving a broken clock will operate for a short time and this is what I relied on. Whenever you find one. Within a few hours or days, leaving again. But, meanwhile, was “incredible”.

So why do simple parlor tricks to fool smart people, even thought they have seen the magic? As an astute writer said: “Because even many intelligent people are too dumb to realize they are not as smart as to be beyond being deceived.” But think about this – if people with the ability to move things with his mind, or read the thoughts of others, or see hidden objects, or predict the future, why are we putting entertaining? Why were not going to be playing the stock market, the work of the casinos, seeking a cure for cancer, or change the course of the rivers to quench forest fires? Easy. That would take a little more than simple distraction.

There is something mysterious about a man who has made a career of breaking things! Sure you can bend ‘em, but can he straighten’ em out again? If so, I have a lot of money folded in my kitchen drawer for him! But this mystery very attracted by its detractors.

James Randi, famous demolition of the paranormal and a magician himself, was constantly in battle with Uri Geller. As often as Geller demonstrated his amazing abilities, Randi was there behind him to give an interview about how they did the trick. Finally, he and other critics believe the public from fraud Geller. Randi the point that this had been accepted by all, if Geller had been honest when he was an artist, not a very accurate psychic gong. Law suits were lost and Geller, one would think that gradually have faded into history.

But today Geller has his own website where it has its own version of his talent. There in the products it sells New Age self-help/personal lucrative growth industry. There can be a psychic, but fell on his feet!

Interesting article on Uri Geller – quite a phenomenon really and rather a mystery but fun to see him work his spoon “magic” – there is energy out there but can we control it the way he seems to?
