Some people claim to have seen one. Almost universally, however, they are described as looking very much like a human being. Not many people see little green men. I wonder about the physical appearance of those beings which are not native to Planet Earth.

It seems rather basic that the descriptions of “aliens” are humanlike. They are usually around the height of people we see every day. They have two eyes, one nose, a mouth, two arms and two feet. Most of my friends have that appearance.

I would expect that beings from another galaxy would have developed into shapes which would seem quite unusual to us Earthlings. Even on this planet there are animals which are quite unhuman in appearance. Many ocean creatures are strangely different, having many arms or no arms at all.

Why do aliens appear to be Earth creatures rather than something strangely different? Isn’t it possible that creatures on another planet could conceivably have three eyes, no ears and a different means of locomotion than two or four feet?

There are alien creatures described as having visited Planet Earth in the past. Even if some of them resembled humans, they still had unusual anomalies such as wings or wheels instead of feet. Different types of angels described in the Bible could not easily pass as humans if seen in their natural state.

The fact that so many “sightings” of aliens tell of creatures which a human could make himself resemble casts doubt on the whole concept of aliens visiting our planet. So many stories resemble Hollywood movie scripts. For example, they take on a human form in order to procreate with humans and produce hybrids of their own race. In fact, Hollywood seems to create more believable aliens than the people who claim to have seen the creatures from another galaxy.

I guess you can label me as a sceptic on the issue of aliens visiting Earth. Those who have the sightings seem to be low on creativity.
