Why Most of Us Don’t See Ghosts

Is Ghost Seeing An Ability for the Gifted Few?

Most of us have heard of ghosts but many will neglect the issue on the grounds that if they don’t see one, what’s the point of believing? Honestly though, these stubborn class of people have felt for themselves hair- raising experiences and unexplained coldness that could be associated to ghost presence but because they didn’t see one, they’re just making a stand that they don’t believe in one (maybe they’re expecting a ghost is listening behind and by so doing it could manifest to avail them of a hair-raising experience) until they have seen it themselves.

My mother died (biologically) on a vehicular accident when I was 17 years old and however difficult and painful it may seem, I have dealt with such issue decades ago. Dealing with a close family member you have spent your life with and losing them is a difficult adjustment to make, just the same as the person himself/herself who made that immediate shift of existence. Just imagine life as a school where we get to higher grade of being as we go through it. The problem is we never know when we get to graduate at times (as for accidents) unless one had been at such a sickened state that he/she is terminally expected to pass out anytime.

Before my mother’s body was officially processed by the funeral parlor and taken home for the wake, I was back at home crying why such a tragic event happened. Then my relatives called my attention about a tapping sound at the backyard. On her routine activities from work, my mother was used to prepare meals for our small piggery at the backyard. That consists of cutting shards of banana stalks to be mixed with the left-over food for feeding the pigs. The sound resembled such activity but nobody has seen her ghost including me. A week that passed, we were able to bury my mother’s body at the municipal cemetery and another strange knocks on the door followed. This usually occurs from 9-10 in the evening while we’re about to sleep. Our dog would be left howling and the knocks on the door would follow, clear, distinct, solid knocks. Driven by logic that it was my mother and I couldn’t be scared enough the fact that I missed her, I usually opened the door to see for myself but nobody was around except our dog.

When I left for Manila 5 months after to pursue my college, I was able to satisfy my own questions by reading books on the paranormal and psychic phenomena and I came to the conclusion why most of us don’t readily see ghosts as other ‘gifted’ people. In high school physics we were taught that matter in 3 states are in constant motion. Solid molecules vibrate slower than liquid, liquid molecules vibrate faster than solids and the gaseous state whose molecular components vibrate the fastest. Taking a solid electric fan whose blades would be seen as a blurr in rotation, or an aircraft propeller which you could barely see when it is rotating, how much more if we compare it to higher states? Working once as an aircraft mechanic, there has been a lot of deaths associated with the helicopter tail rotor because when the helicopter is on the ground and the rotors are rotating, nobody sees the tail rotor while in motion. Several deaths involving a curious bystander happened when a helicopter lands on a populated area where the rushing crowd couldn’t be readily alerted by the pilots and mechanics of the imminent danger. Ghosts or spirits were comparatively in higher states of being to ever be seen by the average eye. The reason that some of us may see them or don’t see them is perhaps just a matter of mood shift were we unconsciously change our rate of molecular vibration by fear or excitement and in some cases, after surviving tragic accidents.

A ghost frequency tuner. Might be something to work on. It would have to be well up into the nano-Hertz area, I should think. High definition and digital. Perhaps some sort of hologram upgrade.

Your story is quite interesting. There is a lot to say on such a subject. Maybe you opened a debate?

I am convinced that there are ghosts about. We used to live in a very old house and there were lots of strange occurrences there. We all thought there were ghosts there though we never actually saw one. We just felt them. This very interesting piece brings back memories.

Very fascinating, Will. What Ken suggests is interesting. Is that feasible? You are more knowledgeable than I am, Will. There are so many things out there that are unexplained, it makes you wonder. If there was a device that could determine…hmmm. Okay, now I’m getting creeped out.

I’m open minded and rational on this subject….but I would love to see one for real. There is so much we don’t understand in the universe, lets hope that one day we have an explanation!

I’m with others too – would love to see one – would verify a lot that is sure. I’ve had experiences mind you, just not visual ones, and of course they’re all too easy to dismiss over time as tricks of the mind, but so many people have similar experiences – so who knows.

Excellent article.Terrific theory about this subject.I believe in life there is natural born believers and natural born sceptics and it is as you said until people see one they won’t believe and even then they would try to find some logical explanation. It does seem more often then not that when people have near death experiences and suddeen dramatic changes in their lives they are more susceptible to seeing them.Excellent work as always Will! Very, very enjoyable read!

I enjoyed your article but I had goosebumps. I’ve always wanted to see a ghost but I’m afraid of how I might react if ever I see one.

I am kind a scared because I see death before it happens sometimes and I feel it in the pit of my stomach when bad things are going to happen. I have certain abilities, and I just don’t know when to use them and how to tame them. Can somebody help me please?

there are passages in the bible that deals with ghosts. read about Saul’s exdperience with this phenomena. Actually, what is written is evel spirits. I can attest to the realities of “ghosts” for i have several encounter with them.

The reason is simple. Because we’ve a different frequency than theirs.

welll i once read a book bye napoleon hill where he refered to death as the transfer od energy based on the physic theories of isaac newton. according to him, when a person dies..his energy, laugh, sou cry and beliefs do not die as energy cannot be destroyed, it can be converted and pass from one entity to another..my take.. i do not know about ghosts..but sometimes i feel some unexplained energies around me that gives me the creeps… like someone is watching you…
guest lol…it may just be all in my head

I am so sorry about the loss of your mother. Your article had extremely interesting points about how things can exist and be very real even if we cannot see them. Keep up the good work.

A thought provoking article…. think most ghosts have unfinished business here but maybe eventually they go to the light and move on to the next level awaiting them.

I am still agnostic when it comes to ghosts. I see no evidence for their existence, but it is possible. I believe that we are all connected to a single, unconscious divine mind ( call it God, if you wish). Ghosts could be a good answer to the question I have pondered, “What happens to all of our thoughts, memories, etc while we wait for the divine mind to come to consciousness again?”

I was a skeptic about the idea that ghosts and spirits make themselves felt and seen until three of us heard voices of someone who died who we knew who was being cremated at that moment. We heard the voices in our living room. But no one was there when we checked.

I also have stories like yours. My mother said, when I was 2 or 3, my lola (who took care of me) died and she told me that I pointed somewhere in the kitchen, and told them that ‘there was lola preparing me some food.’ I really can’t remember, anyway, I do believe in ghosts. But I am not ready to see one.

And when Adam(thought) merged with Eve(imagination) there was a mist across the land, and mind could no longer see reality as it really is.
