Will The World End in 2012?

I don’t know much about the date itself but sounds a little phishy.
It all started apparently with the Myans back in well, whenever that was. All of their calendars ended on December 12. Don’t know how the year 2012 came about since obviously they weren’t around then. But, when this date took place during the Myan time, they all magically disappeared, and the Earth was wiped out. Now, does anybody out there know HOW the Earth is going to end? Is there any scientifical proof of whats going to happen?
Not that I’ve seen. Whether it’s a giant meteor, or what, they just don’t know. SO, is this date in time of the Armageddon of the World just pure myth? That’s my opinion.
And by all means, I am no skeptic. I believe in a lot of this stuff, but there really is no hard proof, no hard evidence of whats going to happen.
You notice for every planned natural disaster date, when that date passes and nothing happens, they come up with another one in the near future. It is a never-ended phenomena that they are still trying to embed in our minds.
If anyone has found proven information on this subject, please, let me know. Because as far as I’m concerned, until that date, well, we’ll just have to see.

I heard from this website, and some scientists, that the Myan calender redoes itself, or goes back.

Hm. I’ve never heard of this. I’ve only heard that they’re calendar stopped, and they we never to be seen again. As in, they new it was going to happen and left, but. Very interesting..thanks for that info!

On 12/21 in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in over 26,000 years. A unique cosmic event, but I’m not sure if that will destroy the earth.

Yeah something about throwing the Earth off of it’s normal rotation and ultimately wobbling all lobsided and bursting out with massive earthquakes and whatnot.

iv’e heard from someone that a dwarf star that was far from earth before was seen near the earth already…and maybe it will explode then it’ll destroy earth and we’ll be history…. letz party when we’re still alive….
