1980’s Teen Idol Corey Haim Dies Due to a Drug Overdose

Famous Canadian film actor Corey Haim is found dead today, March 10, 2010. Corey Haim starred in movies such as "Lucas", "Murphy’s Romance", "The Lost Boys", "License to Drive", and also "Dream a Little Dream". The actor was only at the age of 38 when he died.

Cory Haim was born December 23, 1971. Little did he know, he had a huge career in front of him, later becoming a popular teen idol during the 80’s era. Cory starred and co-starred in many films and was on a TV show. Corey started his acting career playing Larry on a Canadian-oriented comedy television series, “The Edison Twins”. Haim later made his first appearance on a cinematic film in the 1984 feature film, “Firstborn”. Haim reached the peak of his career in the movie “The Lost Boys” Where he was a vampire hunter with his friend and co-star Corey Feldman. Haim later starred in a video game in 1993, called Double Switch. Haim filed for bankruptcy in 1997 with a medical bill debt of over $200,000. By 2004, the actor supposedly overcame his drug habbit. in 2006, Haim began making a reality show with Feldman called “The Two Coreys”. The show went on for two seasons.

On March 10, 2010, Corey Haim got up feeling ill, like he had the previous few days. As he got up, he felt weak and fell to the floor on his knees. He had flu-like symptoms. His mom called the paramedics. The paramedics responded and transported Haim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:15 this morning. Authorities found four prescription drug bottles inside of his apartment, though none were illegal drugs.
