A Biography of Billy Mays

Billy Mays was born in Pennsylvania in 1958, he studied at West Virginia University, dropped out to work for his father, and then moved to Atlantic City in New Jersey. He started his salesman career by selling “as seen on TV” products on the Atlantic City boardwalk. He became friends with Max Appel, the founder of Orange Glo, and he was hired to sell their products, such as Oxi Clean and Orange Glo.

His advertisements were known for his loud yelling and his enthusiam for the product.
He became famous fast, and he was a sought after salesman for products shown on the TV.
In 2009, Discovery Channel started a show about Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan selling their products. He was married to Dolores May, which didn’t work out, after which he married Deborah Mays, and had two children. He died in June 28, supposedly from a heart attack, which was caused by his hypertensive heart disease.
