Adam Lambert: How Has He Changed Us?

On January 13, 2009, began the eighth season of the most watched television-series around the world, American Idol. The eighth season of the show was different from the previous seasons, and the level was a lot higher than usual. After a lot of tears and breakdowns, two men stood in the final stage, both waiting for the results. One named Kris Allen, the other Adam Lambert. Kris was crowned the winner and the new American Idol, but this came as a shock to a lot of people. A majority of people around the world have agreed that Adam Lambert should have one the contest, and are surprised that people didn’t vote for him.

But why was this a big shock? Why did Adam Lambert touch so many people, why did he have so many fans? Why did people feel down after the results had been read?

For some, it was his personality. For some, it was his voice. But the thing that really made him different from the other contestants was his ability to surprise the audience and perform like no other. Every week, Adam would put on a huge show and when the show had reached the Top 8, there was no doubt he couldn’t win. People around the world were blown away by his combination of a great voice, great appearance and a great showman. Sometimes words were not even enough to describe, and he left a lot of people speechless. Of course, singing and performing wouldn’t have been enough, but Adam didn’t only sing, but he told a story as he sang, both with his mouth, and his body. He gave all he had to America and to everyone around the world, and the people fell in love with him.

Adam Lambert may not be the new American Idol, but he is definitely an Idol to millions of people around the globe. There is absolutely no doubt that he won’t get a contract with a record company and that we won’t be hearing more of this fantastic singer.
