Al Gore

      Al Gore is a former vice president of the United States and a celebrity advocate because of his outstanding assistance and support for the terrify crisis of global warming. Gore is the author of An Inconvenient Truth, a best-selling book on the threat of and solutions to global warming. He also have the subject of the movie of the same title, which has already turn out to be one of the top documentary films in history. He is a two Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature and Best Original Song for An Inconvenient Truth. Al Gore is truly an exceptional advocate because he shows the world the truth about global warming, he opens our eyes to it, he speaks about it in public and even makes press conference, and has risk his image and publicity in order for us to reduce global warming.

     First of all, Al Gore has opened our eyes to what it is called global warming. Global warming is an increase in the Earth’s temperature generated by human activities, similar as burning coal, oil and natural gas. Before Al Gore became vice-president little was known about global warming and what was known didn’t intrigue people enough to do something about it or at least do something near it. Before Gore there were small quantity of people whom actually did something to fix or stop global warming. Even though global warming cannot be stop it can be reduce, and with time the reduction can decrease each time a person informs about it and the listeners do something to contribute. That was what Al Gore did when Bill Clinton was elected president and he as the vice-president.

    After Al Gore was in the office he did everything in his power to let people know what this horrible thing called global warming was. He acted and argued in behalf of those who fought to solve it. Before elected he was helping to solve global warming but his influence wasn’t as great as a vice-president could have. During his time as vice-president, Gore continued to stress environmental concerns. In 1997, the White House launched an effort to start creating a report card on the health of the nation’s ecosystems. This project was carried out by an environmental think tank and started by Gore.
