All About Steven Spielberg’s Family Problems

Read all about Steven Spielberg’s family problems, and tell me your honest opinion.

Steven Spielberg’s name is synonymous with box-office successes, like Indiana Jones, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, among many others. Between dinosaurs, aliens and the holocaust, he has made quite a solid conglomerate of films, each one a sight to sour eyes.

But almost all of them has one thing in common, one issue that keeps tormenting Spielberg picture after picture. Have you ever noticed it?

E.T.’s earthling friend, Elliot, was the middle son of a separated mother. In Close Encounters of The Third Kind, the protagonist’s family gets In the line when he can’t handle the hallucinations and paranoia the aliens are giving him. In Jurassic Park, Alan Grant has issues with children, and the kids he ends up liking are recipients of a divorce.

Indiana Jones has trouble catching up with his father. The death of his wife fragmented father and son’s relationship for a long time.

And there are other examples. War of the worlds, with Tom Cruise: his character had a divorce and his kids don’t like him much. Minority Report, also with Cruise, has a parent bitter and cold, years and years after his child was kidnapped.

Of course there are always exceptions to the rule, and sometimes, Spielberg is the one who causes the family problems, like when he took Indy’s girl and married her!

But, jokes aside, his family has never been better.

Spielberg fills his movies with excitement and thrills, but the family matter never misses one of his masterpieces. What do you think?
