Amrita Rao a Copy Cat?

28 year old, Amrita Rao who’s made her career in Bollywood by acting in flop films like Masti, Deewaar, Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi, My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, Welcome To Sajjanpur, Victory, Shortkut: The Con Is On, etc.etc. seems to have changed her image, all over, in order to be in business despite giving several flops. 

Amrita who has always been seen in T-shirts and jeans with different hairstyles, seems to have finally settled in for gowns and classy western wear. She’s also been flaunting a straight black hair look for a while now. This change of hers has been prominent on the hit Star Plus show “Perfect Bride”. The show’s been on air since more than a month now and Amrita has not missed any opportunity to showcase her “new” look in the public.

Now, the matter is not just about her all round outer makeover;- she has also changed the way she walks, talks, behaves, looks and laughs. I am a hundred percent sure, that she is totally copying 20 year old, Hollywood actress Vanessa Hudgens, and this is not just my opinion but many of my friends are also saying the same. Amrita, to be back in demand, has been seriously studying Vanessa’s public appearances and on screen persona. She has completely changed the way she laughed earlier(loudly) to something like a simple pouty smile, even though the joke may be hilarious and you’d wanna say LMAO. She has also changed her sitting pose, which was earlier straight, dumb and wide-eyed to something like sitting sideways with her eyes doing all the work. She has also softened her tone while speaking with the media and fans, which is so contrary to what she was earlier.

Perhaps she is trying to be someone or something she has never been, someone very calm, natural(nachural), sweet, shy, petite, beautiful and an introvert. But when she was asked by the media on her image makeover she simply said “Every girl has a sensuous side, its about time I show mine too.”

But I feel differently. I feel she should not “fake it, to make it”. She should be proud of who she really is- whether in or out of films. But then Bollywood is one big competitive industry where, if you fall, your crushed & left behind. But then, lets wait and watch, on as to how many million dollar assignments and film contracts Amrita Rao gets. Currently, she’s managed to get a “Proud Vegetarian” Print Ad from PETA India. But is that it?
