You love it when celebrities and people in the media mess up. Admit it. The stupid comments, the dumb accusations that keep you occupied for a few moments, give you a topic to talk about with your friends, and perhaps even raise your ego! So today, we’re going to be talking about a couple of the stupidest media moments.

5. What is Wal-Mart? Paris Hilton may think that Gucci is too cheap for her but nevertheless, is this quote really justifiable? “Wal-mart… do they like make walls there?” This writer is asking: Is she stupid or is she just stupid?

4. Baby on Balcony. Who can remember the time when Michael Jackson dangled his baby over the ledge of a hotel balcony? This isn’t even funny. It’s just plain reckless. You can read the full story and even see an image here:

3. The Blondeness of it All. Caitlin Upton- better known Miss South Carolina 2007 comes in at number three of stupidest celeb moments. She was asked why one in five Americans were unable to find the States on a map and here’s her response:

“I personally believe that, U.S. Americans are unable to do so, because some… people out there in our nation that don’t have maps, and I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should… our education over here in the U.S., should help the U.S., er, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future.., for our children… “

2. She Deserves and Article to Herself. Almost coming in the top spot, you guessed it. Dig baby, dig, right into Sarah Palin stupidest hockey mom of the year. This isn’t even a politician- she falls under the radar as ‘celebrity’ because that’s what she’s known for. It took me a while to choose which of her escapades I should choose before finally landing on what newspapers she reads which happens to be all of them… seriously, all of them. In all honesty, I have no idea as to why the hell she was unable to name at least ONE magazine.

1. And the Eighth Continent… Canada! What would a list of stupid celeb moments be without Britney Spears? Of course, the pop princess has the honour of making first place on my list for something that doesn’t include her bald head but rather part of the statistic that made Miss Caroline 2007 number three on our list.

I quote Britney: The cool thing about being famous is traveling. I have always wanted to travel across seas, like to Canada and stuff.

I as a Canadian, am shocked. Miss. Carolina has already informed me about poor American geography but I would have hoped that they wouldn’t forget about us Canadians, eh? It’s okay Britney. I forgive you. You’re just the one in five. You’re still number one on this list.
