Anthony Toth: A Rare Gem
The man behind the big creation, the man know for changing dreams into reality. See face to face to the experience of this hobbyist and feel nostalgic in the memories of the old era.

Imagination and fantasies have no limits but to turn them into reality requires utmost efforts and the courage to persist. Anthony Toth is such a man. Who could think that such a person exists who would turn his childhood memories into the reality of present. People have different hobbies. Some are painters, some prefer stamps, some build castles but 42 year old Anthony wanted to recreate the vintage Pam Am first class compartment.
It took him twenty years of research and $50,000 to recreate the original looking replica of the vintage Pam Am airways inside his garage. The most stunning feature about this replica is that it uses exactly the same tools and items which were used in that era. They include the setup of items of the late 70’s and the mid 80’s like the pairs of red-and-blue reclining seats, original overhead luggage bins and a curved, red-carpeted staircase.
Mr. Toth who is global sales director at United Airlines, says that this idea was not an one day thought but a byproduct of childhood fantasies. He further wishes to expand this collection and build it into a museum. “I have put everything to make it classic, even the music and the headphones belong to that era”, he chuckles. As teenager Mr. Toth used to collect trash(which he thought was valuable) from the airlines.
Mr. Toth has now become a symbol of inspiration to millions of hobbyists. Many fan clubs have opened in his name and the youth consider him as their icon. So carry on Mr. Toth, the world is waiting for your new innovations.

He created a $50,000 asset, that too in the garage. The Pam Am vintage collections shall be a great idea if converted in to a museum. It has already gained a great market value from its widespread popularity. Well thanks for the article.

I had collected a few goodies which the Pam Am used to provide those days. I have kept them and named them “The Collector’s Edition”.
