Are Teen Pop Stars Sex Objects?
An evaluation of the concept of sex objects in relation to teen pop stars.
Today’s teenage pop stars are not illustrating the best message to our young generation. The clothing they wear, the way they behave and their attitude insist that they are not mature enough to be real role models. Although there are some teen pop stars that have done nothing wrong, other celebrities have put the brand name, sex object, on them. Until there is a change in attitude as well as behaviour, and right choices are made, these young pop stars will continue to been seen as sex objects.

I completely agree that stars aren’t the best role models… in fact, they’re terrible. Kids rely way too much on these famous people to set the trends, and it shows.
One thing that I disagree with, however, is the “no sex before marriage” thing. I personally think that more focus should be put on the education about sex, because it’s not going to be prevented (at least not to the level that a lot of parents would like). Not having sex before marriage is also often a religious thing, and I know that there are a lot of people out there who don’t follow religion, myself being one of them.
Good article, though. Lots of good points and research.
