It looks like another Hollywood couple has decided to call it quits. Ashlee Simpson, 26 has filed for divorce from former Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz,31.
The couple married in 2008, the non denominational service was performed by Simpson’s father. Simpson filed divorce papers in LA County Superior Court citing “irreconcilable differences”.
Simpson is asking for joint and primary custody of the couples two year old Bronx. There is reportedly no prenup and Ashlee is asking for spousal and child support.
Ashlee and Pete released a joint statement through a spokesperson saying, “After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce, we remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our No. 1 priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives.”
