South Indian actress Gopika was born on 26 August 1984 in Ollur in Thrissur city of Kerala state. Being from Kerala like many other Malayalam actress she is a Christian and her original name is Girly Anto where Anto is derived from her Father’s name Anto Francis. She studied schooling in the same city she was born in St. Raphael’s School and college in Calicut University. She is a Kerala beauty who looks good in traditional south Indian wears like sarees and churidaars. She has a charming smile and cute look.

In her childhood itself actress Gopika has learnt some dancing courses from her teacher. In her college she was awarded Miss College during their farewell. Her dream was to become a airhostess not to become an actress. But she then entered into modeling industry after winning 2nd in the Miss Thrissur beauty pageant contests. This paved the way for her entry into south Indian film Industry.

South Indian actress Gopika has debuted in the Malayalam film Industry (Mollywood) with film Pranayamanithooval in 2003 which did miserably but helped her get noticed by the film directors and producers. She had her next film 4 the People in 2004 become a box office hit in Malayalam film Industry. She has also debuted in the Tamil film Industry (Kollywood) with film Autograph in 2004 written, produced and directed by renowned Tamil film director Cheran. This also became a hit. From there on she didn’t look back but only gave hits after hit films.

Actress Gopika has debuted in the Telugu film Industry (Tollywood) with film Naa Autograph in 2004. Her debut film in Kannada film Industry (Sandalwood) is Kanasina Loka in 2004. All her debut films after her Malayalam debut show the instant recognition she received for her performance and beauty after her first un popular Malayalam debut film.

She has acted in more Tamil films – 4 Students in 2004, Kana Kanden, Ponniyin Selvan in 2005, Totti Jaya, Aran, Emmtan-Magan in 2006, Veerappu in 2007 and Velli Thirai in 2008. Gopika actress got married to a doctor Ajilesh in July 2008 (July 17 to be exact). That is why you will notice a definite break in her films after 2008. She anyway does not do some glamour roles so there is nothing wrong she has to worry about!
