Heera Rajagopal is widely known in the south Indian film Industry for her glamorous roles. She was born on 29 December 1971 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. By now she is out of the film industry and working for social causes. She is one of the few beautiful South Indian actresses who are born and brought up in the South Indian region.

Actress Heera was a model before she became an actress. She has debuted in Tamil Film Industry (Kollywood) with film Idhayam in 1991. Though her role is not the lead role, the film did well. This brought her more offers in Kollywood. She has also acted in Telugu film Industry (Tollywood) in many films including the hit film that gained her wide recognition, Aavida Maa Avide in 1996 opposite popular Telugu actor Nagarjuna.

She has acted in many Tamil films Thiruda Thiruda, Sathi Leelavathi, Pooveli, Band Master, Nee Padhi Naan Padhi, Avvai Shanmugi, Kadhal Kottai, Dasarathan, Endrum Anbudan, Thodaram and Suyamvaram.
