Beautiful South Indian Actress : Ileana D’cruz

Ileana D’cruz is a beautiful south Indian actress who mostly acts in Telugu film industry (Tollywood). She was a very young actress who rose to fame to become a popular Telugu actress. She became more popular with her second movie Pokiri in Telugu.

Ileana is born on August 19 1987 in Mumbai. Like many other actresses she also comes from a different state but settled in Telugu film industry. As she was in the film Pokiri wearing this sentence on the back of her T-shirt, “I am not so good looking as a whole but parts of me are very hot separately”. It turns out to be true as it is hard to find her best pictures or wallpapers.

Ileana debuted in Telugu film industry (Tollywood) with Devadasu directed by Y.V.S. Chowdhary. Somehow this film became a success though I can’t figure out what is so good in it. She must have been noticed as a new hot actress due to her charm and looks. This led her to many offers in Tollywood. Subsequently in the same year 2006, she acted in the film Pokiri with popular Telugu actor Mahesh Babu.

Pokiri film was such a box office success that it broke all the records in the Telugu film industry’s history. Pokiri played in more number of theaters than any other Telugu film and also played for a long time. It was the biggest Telugu hit film of all time. I believe this is because of the excellent storyline involving Mahesh Babu and his wonderful action, handsome looks, nice performance in all the twists and turns of the movie more than anything due to Ileana. But nevertheless it must be noted that Ileana looks gorgeous in this film. She thinks that the film was a huge hit because her pairing with Mahesh Babu was looking very good.

Somehow Ileana’s performance does not attract me much. But she looks good in some films and not in some other films. Whatever variety she is and her acting is, the Tollywood has accepted as a mainstream actress and she continues to make big films today.

Ileana is not a prolific actress but most of her films did well. She later acted in more Telugu films like Khatarnak, Munna, Aata, Jalsa, Kick, Rechipo. All these films have something in common. That is they are a young generation’s style of films where temper is highlighted and control is limited. She had won best actress awards for Devadasu and Jalsa.
