Laila is a beautiful south Indian actress who has not only acted in all south Indian film industries but also in Bollywood (Hindi). This Egire Pavurama (Telugu) fame has done many Tamil films and also one Pakistani film before getting married to an Iranian businessman. She did not find much success despite so many films.

South Indian actress Laila is from a Mumbai background. She was born on 24 October 1980. She has first debuted in Hindi film Industry (Bollywood) with film Dushman Duniya Ka in 1996. After this film went flop terribly, she came to south Indian film industry to try her luck. She debuted first in Telugu film industry (Tollywood) in Egire Pavurama in 1997 which was directed by family films based director SV Krishna Reddy. This became a good hit film then.

Actress Laila looks cute in modern dresses as well in traditional Indian sarees. In film Egire Pavurama and other south Indian films when she wears saree she looks like a traditional south Indian girl, as she is short and slim and does not show her age.

South Indian actress Laila has debuted in Tamil film industry (Kollywood) with film Kallalagar in 1999. She has debuted in Malayalam film industry (Mollywood) in film Itha Oru Snehagatha in 1997. She has also debuted in Kannada film Industry (Sandalwood) in film Ramakrishna in 2004. Her first Telugu film Egire Pavurama was a hugely successful film while her Tamil films Nandha and Pithamagan got her filmfare best Tamil actress awards.

Laila has also acted in one Pakistani film Kelona in1997. Laila has acted in more Telugu films – Pelli Chesukundam in 1997, Pavithra Prema, Love Story 1999, Khaidi Garu, Subhalekhalu in 1998, Naa Hrudayamlo Nidurinche Cheli, Oke Okkadu in 1999, Ugadi in 2000, Mr and Mrs Sailaja Krishnamurthy, Siva Putrudu in 2004, Vikram, Satti in 2005, Aakrosam, Preminchi Chudu, Paramsivan in 2006 and now coming in a new film after a long time Prathikaram.

South Indian actress Laila has acted in more Tamil films – Rojavanam in 1999, Parthene Rasithene in 2000, Dheena, Dhill, Nandha, Allithantha Vaanam in 2001, Kamarasu, Unnai Ninaithu in 2002, Three Roses, Pithamagan in 2003, Gambeeram, Kalam, Jaisurya in 2004, Ullam Ketkume, Kanda Naal Muthal in 2005, and Paramasivam, Petrol in 2006. She has also acted in more Malayalam films War and Love in 2003, Swapnakoodu, Mahasamudram in 2006. In Kannada she has acted in another film Tandege Takka Maga in 2005.

Since 2006, actress Laila has put a pullstop to her acting career. She has been engaged and then married to an Iranian businessman Mehdin in 2006 and took break from acting since then. Recently she came back to act in a new Telugu film Pratheekaram. With the already stiff competition in south Indian film industries with new young actresses she has to compromise with supporting actress roles.
