South Indian actress Pooja Gandhi was born on 7 October 1984 in Punjab state. She has studied her school in New Delhi Public School and quit her graduation in college in the middle of first year when she got a chance to act in Bengali film Industry. From there she entered into Tamil film Industry and Kannada film Industry and never looked back due to her success here.

Actress Pooja Gandhi is also known as Sanjana Gandhi. She also did some modeling and commercial advertisements for shaving creams. She has a younger sister named Radhika Gandhi who also works in Kannada film Industry. She made it big in Kannada film industry since her debut film and acted prolifically since 2007. Currently she is very busy with multiple Kannada films on hand.

South Indian actress Pooja Gandhi first debuted in Bengali film Industry with film Tomake Salam in 2003. She also acted in another film Dhamad Ke Intizaar. She then debuted in the Tamil film Industry (Kollywood) with film Kokki in 2006 which failed to do well. She also did two more Tamil films Thiruvanamalai in 2008 and Thalai Ezuthu in 2009. She has debuted in the Kannada film Industry (Sandalwood) with film Mungaaru Male in 2006 which was a hugely successful film in Sandalwood that earned 75 crores in one year. This has launched the career Pooja Gandhi as well as of popular Kannada actor Ganesh who was hero in that film.

Actress Pooja Gandhi has acted in more Kannada films – Manmatha, Krishna, Milana in 2007, Hani Hani, Accident, Kamannana Makkalu, Nee Tata Naa Birla, Tajmahal, Kodagana Koli Nungitha, Budhivanta, Maharshi, Janumada Gelathi, Haage Summane in 2008, Anu, Iniya, Huchchi, Ninagaagi Kaadiruve, Gokula in 2009, Minugu, Shri Harikathe in 2010 and acting in upcoming films Rani Maharani, Vega, Tavarina Runa in 2010. She is also debuting in Hindi film Industry with upcoming film I Am in 2010.
