South Indian actress Ramya Nambeesan was born on 1 January 1985 in Kerala state of India. She is a malayali by background and first acted in many Malayalam films before recently migrating to Tamils films (Kollywood). She is beautiful as a traditional homely south Indian girl. Like many beautiful south Indian actresses that come from Kerala she is also one from Kerala.

Actress Ramya Nambeesan was only eleven years old studying in school when she was first introduced to Malayalam films as a child artist. Her acting debut too started in high school time at 15 with film Sayahnam. She does both traditional south Indian girls roles wearing sarees and such outfits as well as glamour roles with western dresses. She did not decide to do in bikini and never wants to do. Within a single film her character can change from village girl to glamour doll as the movie progresses. This added some confusion to the prospective directors whether she is worth giving a glamour role in their films. But Ramya Nambeesan is confident of doing anything well.

South Indian actress Ramya Nambeesan has debuted in the Malayalam film Industry (Mollywood) with film Kathapurushan in 1996. She has debuted in the Telugu film Industry (Tollywood) with film Andamaina Mansulo in 2008. She has also debuted in the Tamil film Industry (Kollywood) with film Raman Thediya Seethai in the same year. Having acted only in Malayalam film Industry till 2008, she is new in Telugu and Tamil film Industries. Clearly she is more of a south indian actress as she did not act in any Hindi film.

Ramya Nambeesan actress has acted in more Malayalam films – Sayahnam in 2000, Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001, Sththi, Gramaphone in 2003, Perumazhakkalam in 2004, Aanachandham in 2006, Changathipoocha, Panthaya Kozhi, Sooryakireedam, Chocolate, College Kumaran, Atheetham, Naalu Pennungal in 2007 and Shalabham, Anthiponvettam in 2008. She has acted in more Tamil films – Vettattam in 2009, and in upcoming films Muriyadi, Aattanayagan, Kullanari Koottam in 2010. Saarai Veerraju is another of her Telugu films which was the same as Tamil film Vettattam.
