Benny Hinn’s Wife Files for Divorce

Benny Hinn, a televangelist and a high-profile pastor, is in the news once again, but this time it’s not about a law maker’s criticism on his theologies but about his marital life. Reportedly, Benny Hinn’s wife has filed for divorce.

According to the details, Benny Hinn’s wife, Suzanne Hinn, reached the Orange County Superior Court to file for divorce from Benny Hinn on February 1. She filed for the divorce after thirty years of marriage and cited that irreconcilable differences are the reason for divorce. The court records note that Benny Hinn’s wife got separated from him on January 26 and that Benny Hinn has been living in a wealthy coastal community, Dana Point, in Southern Orange County.

A statement released by Benny Hinn Ministries says that Pastor Benny Hinn and his immediate family members were surprised to hear the news as Benny Hinn’s wife didn’t give any notice prior to filing for divorce. The statement also said that Benny Hinn has sincerely tried to heal his relationship with his wife, but those efforts couldn’t be successful and were met with the demand for divorce.

Benny Hinn is best known for his advocacy of prosperity gospel. He advocates that the Christians who are on the right path will be rewarded from God with health and wealth. Benny Hinn has been criticized by many law makers who question his luxurious lifestyle. Many believe that Benny Hinn’s vast ministry is a multi-million dollars operation. There was no mentioning of finances in the divorce papers which his wife filed in the court.
