Bethany Storro Faked Her Acid Attack

Bethany Storro admits to Washington police that she faked her attack.

It looks as if the brutal attack of a woman in Washington that involved a caustic liquid and severe burns, was yet another fabrication in the new national pastime of attention grabbing.  Her mental capacity now in question by local and federal authorities.  The question now has arisen on to what punishment if any, she will endure for wasting so much of the states resources in chasing the phantom attacker.

It is reported that Storro is naturally very upset over the whole ordeal which has caught enough attention to book her on the Oprah Winfrey show (A testament to notoriety in America), which has since been cancelled, barring another “Million Little Pieces” fiasco, although her executives may rethink this decision after the storm of media coverage Storro has generated.

There is a theory being passed on by neighbors and friends that there is no way she could do this to herself, and that she reascended her accusation based on her gentle mental state.

Storro had originally claimed that a fit African American woman with a pulled back ponytail approached her asking “you want to drink this?”, to which Storro had responded “No” and the liquid was thrown into her face.  She had claimed that the sunglasses she had just bought had saved her sight.  She had said that her buying the sunglasses was “An act of God”, to which many religious entities claimed as a miracle.

Aside from a shocked community, many of which donated money to her cause, Hundreds of man hours of law enforcement was wasted.  The mistake seems almost unavoidable, aside from conducting a lie detector test on every victim of a major crime (Perhaps that’s not a bad idea), the police and community were honestly swayed into believing her self inflicted tragedy.  But on the other side, if her mental state is questionable, the injuries should be enough punishment, wether that is the case, or this was just a very desperate attempt to gain sympathy, is still in debate.
