Bobby Bowden Retiring

When you’re winning the pressure of retiring or termination is completely off your back. But, as soon, as you start to have losing season they begin to move in on things you should do according to those in administration.

Most people predicted that Bear Bryant, would die within months or retiring and they wasn’t all that wrong. As, Alabama head coach, it was all he knew as his enjoyment, except for his family. People who enjoy their jobs loves to keep doing it until they want to retire or get call to come home to the Lord.

And, now we see Florida State, forcing Mr. Bowden, to leave his comfort zone. They even video the taping instead of letting the man talk to the press, but then he might have asked for it this way because sportswriters can ask some tricky questions where he might honestly speak his mind and upset people in the administration.

If, we start holding school president more accountable like we hold coaches for grown adults in college making mistakes that lead to suspension and criminal conviction. We probably won’t see many working for long in that position.

Bowden, unlike Weis, at Notre Dame, has proven he could win more than he lost. We know with the competition in today sports legendary schools are competing with less known school, who are spouting with success that they use too have.

The only differences is Alabama, Florida, Texas, are power house like Florida State. who t the moment is living in the shadow of Florida, when at one time it was the other way around. Sure, if they have beaten Florida, in this losing year I’m sure Bowden would have been allowed to come back for one more year.
