Three weeks after watching The Ramen Girl and being awakened to the talents of the refreshening, comedic, and lovely Brittany Murphy, I was awoken to the shocking, sad, and surreal news about the actress’ untimely death. With respect to the tragedy, greater tributes to her life and talents await, so I do not try to even attempt such a feat.
Instead, as a memento to honor Ms. Murphy’s spirit, I encourage one to consider watching The Ramen Girl. Taking place in Japan, this movie is one filled with much heart and truth about life – charmingly displaying the struggles, the triumphs, the sweet victories, big and small, that define life, no matter the length. For me, it is a movie that has great inspiration, both from the plot and the actress. So whether you have not seen Brittany Murphy in films before or if you are an adoring fan, watching The Ramen Girl is a beautiful way to pay tribute to this beautiful girl.
