Brittany Murphy
Brittany Murphy’s career is cut too short and dies suddenly of cardiac arrest.

Actress Brittany Murphy has past away due to cardiac arrest. The actress died on the early morning of Sunday December 20th reported by gossip and entertainment news sites including TMZ.com. Brittany Murphy is dead at 32. The Los Angeles Fire Department has received a 911 call at 8 a.m. Sunday morning from the home of actress Brittany Murphy’s husband. Fire Department spokesman Devon Gale says to the home in Los Angeles that belongs to British screenwriter Simon Monjack, who is married to Murphy.
TMZ‘s website states Murphy’s mother found her unconscious in the shower. When Paramedics arrived they quickly realized she was in full cardiac arrest and straight away administered CPR. They transported Murphy to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. But to no avail, Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital early this morning from cardiac arrest.

Brittany Murphy was born on November 10, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia. Murphy was only 32 when she died. Much like Michael Jackson’s death this same year it was sudden and shocking to hear on the news. From the very beginning back in the 1990’s Murphy was clearly ready for future stardom. Thanks to roles in films like “Girl, Interrupted,“ opposite Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder, “Drop Dead Gorgeous,” “8 Mile,” with Eminem, “Clueless,” with Michael Douglas in the 2001 thriller “Don’t Say A Word,” “Riding in Cars with Boys,” “Sin City,” and “Just Married,” opposite Ashton Kutcher. Murphy could even be heard on the cartoon “King of the Hill,” as Luanne.
Murphy is due to appear in these upcoming films for 2010 all in post or pre production: “Abandoned,” “Something Wicked,” Sylvester Stallone’s film, “The Expendables,” “Shrinking Charlotte” and rumored to be in “Poor Things.”

Murphy gives a lot of credit to her mother, Sharon, for being the key to her success. Ashton Kutcher, who costarred with Murphy in 2003’s romantic comedy “Just Married,” who also dated Murphy sent out a Twitter message Sunday morning concerning Murphy’s death: “2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine,” Kutcher wrote. “My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon.”
According to TMZ the LA coroner will begin an investigation into Murphy’s death. The Los Angeles County coroner, on February 4, 2010, stated that the primary cause of Murphy’s death was pneumonia, with secondary factors of iron-deficiency anemia and compound by drug intoxication. On February 25, 2010, the coroner’s report stated that Murphy had been taking a range of over the counter medications, with the intent of treating a cold or respiratory infection. All these drugs were legal and the death was ruled to be an accident. Murphy has been married to screen writer Simon Monjack since 2007 and has no children. This popular actress will be greatly missed. A favorites among most people. She was certainly a sweetheart who could make you laugh and made entertaining movies.

It is a great tragedy when someone dies so young and so unexpectedly. I feel for her family. A sensitively written piece.
