Celebrities & Us People

IMDb. Internet Movie Database. Everyone looks at it. I do. I know you do. We look at movies we want to watch. We look at movies that we have already watched. We look at actors’ profiles and post on the message boards. You remember actors’ birthdates and wish them happy birthday.

And then…

You obsess.

You keep talking about a celebrity or wish your favourite celebrities would hook up. You look up their interviews and pick up on all the little details and make it something big. You think because he looked at her for 3 seconds means that they’re going to hook up. You think that because she looked away meant that she liked him.

Get over it. Please. This is what really annoys me. Think about it. You talk and talk and think and think about people that you don’t know. They don’t know you exist and are probably not going to befriend you.

I feel bad for celebrities. They don’t get fair treatment. If they do something wrong and we happen to admire them we defend them..but we don’t know them.

But if you have nothing better to do or you can’t find a decent hobby to fill your time…go ahead, obsess.
