Celebs in Foreign Ads: Jennifer Aniston or Beer?
by Sometimes they’re wacky, sometimes they’re confusing – foreign commercials with American celebrities. But a beer commercial from the Netherlands is a clever spot that could be played anywhere.
American celebrities find they can earn big bucks making commercials across the globe. It seems they’re willing to do some crazy things, seemingly in the hopes the commercial won’t find its way to the states. Well, Jennifer Aniston can be proud of this Heineken commercial made in the Netherlands a few years ago.
This is one of the many reason why Aniston took the #17 spot in the 2008 Forbes Celebrity 100 List for “earnings and fame”…reportedly earning over $27 million that year.
Here’s another well-done foreign commercial she made for Britain’s Barclaycard about 5 years ago. It’s also a charming spot, but I find her voice-over a little unnatural.
