Championing Filipinos Worldwide
Is there really hope for Filipinos who have so much love for his country that lacks political stability? Way back from the time of the late dictator Pres. Ferdinand Marcos down to Pres. Gloria Arroyo, Filipino’s search for Democracy, social strength and worldwide acceptance has long been dreamt about. It was the reason why most Filipinos never tried relying about their future unto corrupt-practicing leaders but tried more on their own capabilities hoping they could provide luck for themselves and to their country.

Many Filipinos in fact tried it outside the country to make a living for their family. Some found great fortunes but others found theirs in despair. But more than the failures, great Filipinos had able to meet fortunes which catapulted Philippine nation to worldwide success. The likes of Lea Salonga, Charise Pempengco, Arnel Pineda, Allan Pineda(Apple de APL) of The Black Eyed Peas, Paolo Montalban to name a few made Filipinos proud of themselves being filipinos.
It only proves that even a small country and member of a third world country at that, Philippines can also give worldwide talents that can show world class performances the same way western talents can do. Given a chance, more Filipinos can even give western talents a run for their money. Although, it may take years for Filipinos to make a stand against bigger countries in terms of sports, since height, trainings and experience are the main foundation of winning, Filipinos have a somewhat great competence in performing arts particularly in singing and acting and in dimension-free sports like boxing, bowling, and billiards.
It was something that Filipinos are pleased and satisfied having the best of the best from the country. Today, the world’s greatest boxer and found-for-found king is a native of General Santos City, Manny Pacquiao. Having 7 world title to his name, Congressman Pacquiao is truly a blessing for the Philippines that to date, which still longing for a gold medal in the Olympics. Even without a gold Olympics, Pacquiao’s victory is more than enough for us Filipinos.
She maybe not made it to Hollywood music industry, but Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez is known to be the greatest singer not just in Asia but in the whole world. Having more than 70 grand price wins in the amateur, national and international competition, Regine’s souring high vocal prowess is more than enough to beat any well-known American artists who only have great producers backing them up. From Michell Legrand to Bryan Mc Knight and to any musical genuises-critics who had heard of her voice, Regine only claimed praise from them saying she is on top of any great singers in the world.
She was one of the greatest actresses in the World HBO has told of her immense talent in acting, but Nora has wider facial acting abilities that perhaps couldn’t match by even the greatness of Meryl Streep, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Robert de Niro and other veteran Hollywood actors. She has more than 40 best actress awards to her name and her powerful acting capacity is still unmatched and unstoppable to other actresses.
Efren “Bata” Reyes maybe is aging but his name in the sport of billiards delivers wider history than any other great cue artists. He is known as “The Magician” and till this day never duplicated his records as the king of the billiard tables.
He is very good-looking and he is very Filipino, Paeng Nepomuceno is a six time world champion in the Bowling world Cup and a Guiness Book of Records title holder.
