Chase the Chameleon
Chase Skylar DeMayo is the ultimate Chameleon. He can blend into many situations seamlessly and give you something to remember at the same time. He’s even bringing High Five’s back.

If I told you someone was a break-dancer/ ballroom dancer/ actor/ comedian/ announcer/ writer/ journalist/ photographer/ entrepreneur/ image consultant/ manager/ promoter, you would probably scoff at the fact that plenty of people put multiple labels on themselves to inflate some sort of ego disorder. I would probably agree with you but then convince you that the person wearing these labels, was indeed the real deal. This individual is Chase Skylar DeMayo, who has recently made an impact in the Tidewater region of Virginia, as a runner-up to the Fox Network’s “Face of Fox” competition. His web promo received over 13,000 hits in less than a month and was a catchy testimonial to all that DeMayo has contributed to the community.
DeMayo recently retired from the Air Force where he worked in Public Relations. It was then that I first met this ambitious individual. He had a charm about him and was curious to learn and involve himself in whatever aspect was available. I had originally hired him as a model for ArtInspired Studios and I was so impressed by his personality, that he became the resident male accessory to many modeling sessions that summer. He also became one of the freelance photographers the studio used throughout the year and covered live events solo, such as the Carbon Leaf concert in Williamsburg, VA.
Chase Skylar DeMayo has recently been hired by the Norfolk Admirals to Emcee the rest of the season’s 28 games, which will be a great venue to gain more exposure for this driven young man. He also does marketing and promotions for Bobby Wright, a developer based in Norfolk, VA. Being in the scene has even opened other unexpected doors for DeMayo, such as joining the Virginia Noblemen, a non-profit group that promotes charity work and is a network of notable individuals from the Tidewater Region.
“I’m excited to be doing these things and I don’t want to regret not going for it all,” states DeMayo. “My big goal is to stay happy. I won’t stop trying to get ‘there’ and I will know where ‘there’ is, once I have nowhere else to go and have nothing else to learn.”
If you were to look on DeMayo’s planner, you would find him traveling between his home and The Gym Downtown, researching new projects on the internet, promoting his different website and business interests, taking photographs, modeling for photographers, and working on his dance moves. And that all may be the case for only the first few days of the week, and it may be a different line up for the other consecutive days. By comparison to the general masses, Chase Skylar DeMayo does not live a boring life.
When I asked him what his biggest frustration was at the moment, he simply replied, “There’s not enough time for everything. If there were 25 more hours in a day… I’m sure I’d still run out of time.”
