        It seems their separation is hurting their careers than improving it.

 Chris Brown’s song “crawl “is raising a lot of eyebrows.

        Is that song dedicated to Rhianna?

                Chris Brown and Rhianna’s relationship was the ideal union for teenagers and adolescence. Two beautiful young singers in love, with the attendant wealth and fame.  It seemed like a relationship that we wished we had at that age. Until headlines spelled trouble in paradise and pictures of Rhianna’s engorged, swollen, bruised face surface in the media and on the internet.  It seems that there was more to the relationship than what met the eyes.

         Young girls felt both angry and disappointed with Chris Brown and Rhianna. Some people said that Rhianna should have kept it under wraps because this would hurt their careers. In fact it marred Chris Browns image and he is having problems selling his new album Graffiti since some stores are refusing to sell his CD’s. The young female population that were enamored with Chris Brown cannot help looking at him and seeing an abuser instead of an ideal partner. 

                   I remember the first time I saw his video “transformer” with Lil Wayne and instead of the feminine admiration I always felt when I looked at Chris Brown. My feelings were ambivalent towards him. I was glad that his career was back on track and that he had not lost his creativity. The aura that surrounded him was gone. I kept thinking that his songs about love were fake. All I saw was an abusive young man who needs to control his anger and his hands.

          I was upset about what happened with Rhianna and how it had destroyed his perception as an ideal boyfriend among young women. If a girl decides to have a relationship with Chris Brown, she will be wary that one day, he will lose his cool and hit her.  Chris Brown was not the ideal female fantasy. Every time a sensuous thought of Chris Brown emerged it was along with the trepid idea of him hitting Rhianna.

              I do not think I like Rhianna’s new album or her look. I do not know if it has something to with the fact that I am from the Caribbean but I prefer the young woman that song “pon the relplay” as oppose to this “so hard” character.  I mean the punk rock look is ok but prefer the long tresses of the girl I saw first when she came on the music scene. Well she is an artist and she is being creative therefore who am I to decide.  She has a great body, why not show if off!

             I do not know how Chris Brown will outlive his transgressions against society and Rhianna. I do not know the irreparable damage that the debacle has done to his public and professional image.  I watched in on an interview with Wendy Williams the other morning and he seemed uneasy on the sofa. The pandemonium that should have been on the show was not like pre –Rhianna abuse situation.  The beating of Rhianna has definitely smeared Chris Brown image.

        Even if Rhianna wanted to get back with Chris Brown, it will be difficult because the public would not tolerate it.  Chris Brown’s R and B single “crawl” is inferring that he wants Rhianna back and that the song is dedicated to her. This perception was compounded by the female who played the object of affection in the video sporting a variation of Rhianna’s hairstyle and from certain angle was a Rhianna look alike.
