Comedian Tracy Morgan in Trouble Again
by Given that he was already in hot water, it was bound to happen that everyone would be watching Tracy Morgan for the smallest little crack that would be offensive. As it turns out, recent wisecracks made have gotten people right back up in arms. Let’s take a look at the latest Tracy Morgan controversy.
It appears that comedian Tracy Morgan is in a lot of hot water over comments he made. Just when he got out of hot water after his anti-gay comments that he made. His latest comments have greatly offended the disabled. More specifically the mentally retarded, which obviously even the most non politically correct person would consider to be extremely taboo.
Among the comments that stirred up some problems for the comedian, there was a comment “not to mess with the mothers of retarded children.” This caused people to lose their minds and get up in arms and the reasons are rather clear. He also referred to a woman as “a cripple”, adding fuel to the fire.
In the world of comedy, there are going to be some jokes that are made that could be in rather poor taste. That is just a nature of comedy, some of what people might think of as funny, is going to offend the hell out of other people However, there are many times where there are lines that should not be crossed. The homophobic slurs that Morgan had told in his jokes, were of poor taste, but really not that all uncommon. Still after this incident, perhaps Tracy Morgan should have chosen a bit more wisely in his routine. Obviously its difficult to avoid offending everyone, but there are many lines that should not be crossed. And these comments, no matter in what context, are going to be offensive to anyone who has mentally disabled children.
Given that this comes off the heals of his latest controversial remarks, this does look far worse, as Tracy Morgan was already put under a microscope for future comments and it might be a while before his future performances are not looked at to an obsessive detail.

Our terminology has shifted and become a little more sophisticated. Evidently, Tracy isn’t keeping up with mainstream. I don’t like the term, definitely. But, right now, I think anything he says will bring about sneers. Maybe he should sit down and review his material. A long sit.
