Defining Our Era
A look at era defining thoughts.
When you look back which events define our era?
Of course we all know the serious events that defined the worlds era, for instance the trade towers and 9/11 this would be the main event for many. You see it is one of those where even at my young age i know exactly where i was when i heard the news. I was in a dentist surgery waiting for my check up when it came on the TV in the reception, at first i thought it was fake and a hoax but upon watching the news that night i soon realized it was not, those people jumping from the building will forever haunt us i think.
It was not all events from the media however that should define our era, what we have done should also define it but more and more people say that media and celebrity defines who we are and the tragedy that comes with it.
I remember being in Blackpool a seaside place in England UK on holiday when i heard about the death of princess Diana the princess of Wales. I was 8 years old and even then i knew it was a big thing. Death defines us all.
Elvis,
Frank Sinatra,
James Dean,
Marilyn Monroe
Anna Nicole Smith,
Kurt Cobain,
John Lennon
Michael (the king of music) Jackson.
Of course era defining moments would not be complete with out the king of pop, michael jackson. My parents remember the defining moment when thriller was released now i remember the moment when he passed away. Michael was around before i was even born and remained around long after but he was as good now as he was back then, ok some would disagree with me but he something special. I have practiced and practiced the moonwalk for years and some people can do a fantastic moonwalk but it is not a michael jackson moonwalk. There is a good moonwalk perfect in every way except it is not been performed by the master michael. You can recreate the dance steps but you cant recreate michael jackson doing those steps. You just cant. His showman ship you can practice that. I was there to see the court cases and in my mind he was rightly freed. I saw the memorial service, i was there with tears in my eyes as his daughter spoke.
He will live on for ever, he defined an era, he defined music and for that we are thankful.
Michael Jackson Rest in peace. Forever the king of pop and the king of music!

This is a very nice article. It is sad but true that so many of us usually can remember what we might have been doing when something bad has happened in the world. It is a constant reminder of how precious a life is. Just as we have lost some very talented astronauts. We also lost a legend a very great artist. But we also have to recognize what happens to people that have addictive personalities. And that show signs of depression. Nice job
