Denzel Washington is a Real Hero

Why is it that people like Tom Cruz, Madonna, and Brad Pitt Make the top news every day. Brad and Angolina have more kids that Octomom, and Tom and Kate plus 8 put together. For some reason the world thinks that many kids is something entertaining to look at every day. Madonna also is someone who stays in the news for no apparent reason. She feels the need to go all the way to Africa, and adopt a black baby, when she can adopt a black baby from the U.S.A. Tom Cruz had one outburst on the Oprah show, and he stayed in the news for months.

Why is it that the American public is so attracted to television idiots, instead of television heroes. Did you Denzel Washington is considered a real hero in America now. Here is the story that never made prime time news.

Denzel Washington visited a Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio Texas. At this medical center the employees showed Denzel a Fisher House. A Fisher House is a place where the families of injured soldiers, confined to a hospital bed, can come an stay while the soldier is getting treatment.

The only thing about a Fisher House is that there aren’t enough. These houses stay at high copacity. So during the visit Denzel Washington asked the Hospital how much does a Fisher House cost. Once he got his answer to the question, Denzel Washington pulled out his check book, and paid the full amount for the Fisher House to be built.

Now I don’t know about you but in my eyes that is a hero. My idea of a hero isn’t Madonna, Tom Cruz, Lil Wayne, or Flavor Flav. Why is it that all these people continue to make the news, and people like Denzel Washington or Hill Harper never make atleast one page of a news paper. Has America lost its common sense, values, and its mind.
