Divas From Hell: Hollywood’s Worst Actresses

     Everybody has their own opinion, and movies are a subject on which nearly anyone can and does weigh in.  But after watching ‘The Box’ today, it occured to me (not for the first time) that Cameron Diaz is not only a terrible actress, but annoying on an almost sadistic level.  This isn’t just a case of a poor perfomance… this is more the near desire to remove my own eyes after 20 minutes of her.

     And there are, as I thought about it, quite a few more.  So let’s take a few minutes out of our day now for a bit of celebrity hating… but in this case, for an almost reasonable reason.

Cameron Diaz

Not only does she come across as an idiot, but she’s as convincing as a three dollar bill.

Drew Barrymore

Is there anyone in Hollywood who tries harder to convince the world that she is cutting edge, avante gard, or whatever cliche you choose?  You believe you’re far cooler and more sophisticated than everyone else.   Can you stop trying to convince us now?  You’re just coming across as someone who wishes she could be pompous now.

Sandra Bullock

Maybe it’s just me, but I gagged through most of “The Blind Side”.  How are people giving her awards here?!?  She reminds me of a soap opera actress;  always shooting for dramatic, and always falling well short.  And the scene where she tells the guy to leave the kid alone…. that may have been the most painful 15 seconds in cinema history.

Kirsten Dunst

She’s the only thing worse than Drew Barrymore;  a wannabe Drew Barrymore.

Kirsten Stewart

Ok, I get it.  Twilight is a big phenomenon, vampires are cool now.  Kirsten Stewart is edgy, brooding, cool.  Really?  This is like the rich girl trying to be goth, and her acting is something beneath terrible.  Please, please, please…. let this batch of teenagers grow up so we can move on.

Miley Cyrus

I have a 10 year old daughter, and so I am unfortunately acquainted with this, the most annoying actress perhaps in history.  Want to punish yourself for something unforgiveable?  Watch the show.  Was it something really bad?  Watch the movie.
