Elvis: The Jumpsuit Style

A good majority of us know the Mississippi born, Memphis resident, started many trends, from the moment he hit the musical scene. As, we know, he borrow many different style from cross section of the musical scene in his journey to fame.

But, there one thing, I completely think, he alone started in his career. And that’s the jumpsuit, he start wearing with the gigantic belt buckle. And the large collars. I can’t recall be fore him ever seeing another entertainer originating it. But, can recall many during one of the combination after him. Tom Jones, borrow alot of the king, and start to wear the belt style created by Elvis, and whoever the designer was to dress the man from Memphis.  And, when you look at the Osmonds, during the early seventies, you see all five wearing the suit. And, it just don’t look right. But, at one point the Temptations wore a version without all the glitter, but had the collar.

Elvis, don’t get credit for alot of clothing origination, but he should. Because, the sun glasses width in my opinion should also be credited to him. And the ankle boots seen in many uniform acts was started by him.
