Errors and Lives

Interpreting the errors Michael Jackson made.

It is easy to cast aspersions on someone who was an apparent sex offender because he was seen to have invited young men to his house but there was the life of the person to be taken into consideration. The fact that the entertainment offered by that individual far outweighs what the individual did in his lifetime. The name of the person is Micheal Jackson. He recently died of heart failure, foul play is suspected  and he should be remembered for the change of musical rhythm that he introduced in the eighties and how he was able to allure the public much like Elvis or Princess Diana were.

If I were to judge him for his quirks of covering up his kids faces while in public, or the fact that his nose was gradually getting thinner and thinner, I would be musch less appreciative of the music he produced and would be evaluating the errors of the man which don’t consider the appeal he made to thousands of viewers and how he made those people happier. He had issues with his face and his body by wanting to undergo plastic surgery and by refusing to eat and that should not define the man.

There was photo of him grasping his infant over the balcony. it looked as if the infant was ready to fall is one interpretation but there are images of weeping children at his funeral. Could he have been an abusive father because of this? I am thinking more of how he helped the community through his generous work. One knows that he had a abusive father and did not offer anything to him in his will. The father was known to have beaten his son probably to get him to perform more often. Today I would blame Michael’s father for any angst his son demonstrated towards his infants and on one occasion. Corporal punishment is passed on from generation to generation.

Recently his home has been invaded by the press and what would have been held private was laid out for all to see: the drugs on his shelves, the sequenced bedspread, suspended projector and screen for video viewing. I should not have been privy to seeing how many drugs he had to take, associated to pain killers and the plastic surgery or not. In any case this does not make Michael any less of a man. The fact that he had the beginning of cancer on his knows is also none of my business but helps to explain the tremendous stress he was under to continually seduce the public with his performances. He wanted to please them at the cost of his health, that is how I should be interpreting what value he gave to the American public.
