Overview

David Essex’s success was considered to be attributed to his good looks, like able character and an amazing ability to sell records and no wonder they were successful, hits like “Hold Me Close” were magic carpet stuff, just terrific.  As a result when he appeared in the sit com “The River” that was popular with all age groups of the UK.

His considerable successes in musicals to date make him a performer who has maintained his popularity and there is no sign of that abating.  I should like to wish him and his bride all the luck in the world and believe that his career will continue to grow, probably in musicals.  I should also like to thank David Essex for the 1970’s for helping to make that period an iconic time for pop music.
